Mental Management

for the Performance Dog Handler with Barbara Currier

Your dog wants you to attend this workshop! The mind can be a tricky place when it comes to performance dog sports. We put so much effort into training our dogs on the skills necessary for the sport, but what about the handler’s nerves? Their beliefs in their ability to be successful? The thoughts in our mind that betray us? Now it’s YOUR turn to step into the ring confident that you can manage those nerves, thoughts, and be the best handler your dog deserves.

This is a two-day seminar with Saturday being the lecture where you will learn the steps and methods to manage your mental game when it comes to competing or just training your dog. Sunday will involve a mock rally trial where those who chose a working spot will get to participate with their dog, implementing the steps from Saturday.

Working spots are limited to 10 people, and audit spots are open to 30 people.

Auditors are welcome to participate in the lecture, asking questions, etc., and are an active part of the mock trial to help those working with their dogs.

On Sunday, everyone will also learn about self-praise practices and how to journal properly.

Saturday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 13th, at Canine Country Academy, located at 975 Cripple Creek Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Working Spots $350 (limited to 10) and must attend both Saturday and Sunday

Audit Spots $175 for Saturday and $100 for Sunday OR do the whole weekend for $250 (a $25 savings)

CANCELLATION POLICY: You may cancel 2 weeks before the first day of this workshop for a full refund, minus processing fees (if any). Any cancellations less than 2 weeks before the workshop may receive a 50% refund if we can fill your spot.
