When I started learning about dogs and dog behavior I never would have dreamed I would be where I am today. Over eight years ago I was let go from my corporate job, along with 25 employees. I had been working part-time at Canine Country Academy after completing my apprenticeship. I knew I loved what I was doing: helping people and dogs understand one another better. As I started my journey of learning about dog training and behavior I had no clear idea of what my “big picture” would look like. I trusted I was on the right path because of my amazing mentor, Cathy Bruce, but could I make a real living doing what I loved? What kinds of lifestyle changes would it require to follow my heart?
What I have found is what I want to share with you. Allow me to take you to the next step in your journey to follow your passion. Changing dog’s lives, along with their caregivers. I want to share with you what I have learned thus far so you can find the joy you seek in helping others while working with dogs. We have an amazing team for you to join, and the community of pet dog owners we have built is the most amazing you can find Their dedication to building great relationships with their dogs, helping them cope with the big world, and having fun with them is inspiring!

We are looking to grow our amazing team of dog trainers! This starts with a two-day workshop including:

$250 workshop fee per attendee
What does this include?
• Day 1 from 10 am to 5 pm – Lecture and observation skills
• Day 2 from 10 am to 5 pm – Observe during group classes and hands-on learning
During the 2-day workshop, we will get to know each other to see if our apprentice program is a good fit. Attendance of the workshop does not guarantee entry into further apprenticeship opportunities.
