Rachel Stroud Anderson, CPDT-KA

Dog Trainer

Rachel Stroud Anderson only began owning dogs when she became an adult. When she was attending the University of Georgia for a degree in Music Education, she adopted her first dog, Sasha. She immediately began learning about dogs and dog behavior. The classes she was taking at the time (educational psychology and learning theory) started to overlap with her hobby of training Sasha. Rachel has always had a passion for teaching but had not considered teaching dogs and their caregivers! She uses her educational background in teaching to help others learn about their dogs. Rachel focuses on the mental and emotional well-being of each dog and strives to help caregivers better understand them and give them the best life ever. Sasha has been awarded an Intermediate Trick Dog Title through Do More With Your Dog and sometimes competes in Barn Hunt. Rachel and her husband, Keith, adopted Kirby the coonhound in 2017. Kirby competes in AKC, NACSW, and PSD scent work titles, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, and Trick Dog. They share their house with a cat, Reptar, and their newest addition Roxy, an elderly lab mix who is the best couch warmer.  Rachel is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed and continues to build her knowledge about dog behavior to continue to help families understand their dogs and have fun doing it.
